Islamabad: (Right Now News) Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has contacted Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian via telephone. He expressed deep concern over the recent tensions in the region.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, Shahbaz Sharif spoke with the Iranian President on Friday. He emphasized the importance of adhering to commitments under the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding.
Shahbaz Sharif stated that this memorandum provides a foundation for promoting understanding and shared prosperity in the region.
He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to continue all possible cooperation for regional peace. He mentioned that Pakistan is ready to play a sincere role.
It is noteworthy that the Prime Minister also expressed good wishes for Iran’s Supreme Leader. A telephonic contact was also made with the Emir of Qatar, reaffirming support.
