Islamabad: (RightNow) Pakistan experienced a significant decline in used car imports during the 2025-26 fiscal year. This decrease was observed in both quantity and value.

In the last fiscal year, a total of 36,755 used cars were imported, with a total value of $187.81 million. This reflects a reduction in both numbers and value.

In the previous fiscal year 2024-25, 43,675 cars were imported, valued at $243.85 million, which was higher than the current year.

The imported cars in Pakistan were brought under three different schemes: personal baggage, gift, and transfer of residence.

It is important to note that trends in used car imports are influenced by external financial conditions, currency fluctuations, and impact on the local industry.
