Mir Raza’s family opposes the judicial commission and will seek a JIT formation in High Court.
Karachi: (RightNow). The lawyer of young businessman Mir Raza’s father, Jibran Nasir, rejects the Sindh government’s decision for a judicial commission. He states that Mir Raza’s family will approach the High Court tomorrow to form a JIT and oppose the commission.
According to lawyer Jibran Nasir, the judicial commission was formed without informing Mir Raza’s family. The terms of reference for the investigation have not been made public. The police report will be presented before the magistrate tomorrow.
Jibran Nasir questions why the judicial commission was announced before presenting the police report. He asks if the Sindh government is dissatisfied with the police investigation results.
Mir Raza’s sister stated in a video message that they learned about the judicial commission through the media. The police report was due by August 24, but it has not been submitted yet.
It is noteworthy that the investigation into Mir Raza’s death will be led by a Sindh High Court judge. The investigative team is probing events following the CCTV footage.
