Islamabad: (RightNow) Maulana Fazlur Rehman met with opposition leader Mahmood Achakzai in the National Assembly. They agreed on forming a united opposition and expressed concern over the health of PTI’s founder.
Senate opposition leader Raja Nasir Abbas was also present during the meeting between Fazlur Rehman and Mahmood Achakzai. They discussed the political situation and parliamentary affairs, focusing on mutual cooperation and future strategies of opposition parties.
Opposition leaders urged immediate hospital transfer of the founder in light of the Supreme Court’s decision. They appealed not to politicize health issues and expressed concern over the government’s attitude towards the opposition.
Fazlur Rehman stated to the media that the decision to form a united opposition has been made. This was the first meeting, and further consultations will follow. Communication between opposition parties will be enhanced.
It is noteworthy that discussions on an All Parties Conference (APC) have also taken place to strengthen the democratic process. Recent statements have shown concern over the health of PTI’s founder.
