Karachi: (RightNow) YouTube, known as a hub for long-form videos, introduced Shorts in 2020, similar to TikTok’s short videos. Now, users can disable these Shorts from their feed.

YouTube recently launched a new time management setting allowing control over Shorts videos. This setting is available on both Android and iOS devices.

To use this feature, users need to click on the You tab in the YouTube app and go to settings. In the time management option, set the Shorts feed limit to 0 minutes.

The importance of this feature lies in helping users avoid addiction to Shorts. The Shorts section will not appear on the home feed unless the user enables it.

It is important to note that this feature is not available on YouTube’s desktop version. It applies only to mobile apps, benefiting mobile users.
