Tehran: (RightNow) Iran has declared the 60-day negotiation deadline with the US, set on June 18, as irrelevant. The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson states that the deadline’s significance has ended due to alleged US violations.

Spokesperson Ismail Baghaei clarified that there was no formal clause for a 60-day period in the agreement. Iran does not formulate its policies based on pressure or ultimatums.

He mentioned that the 60 days were considered for negotiations on sanctions and nuclear issues. However, due to US violations, talks could not commence.

The Iranian spokesperson further stated that the discussion on the deadline has become unnecessary as the negotiation process has not progressed. Iran will not succumb to pressure to decide within a specific timeframe.

It is noteworthy that Iran has reiterated its rights concerning the Strait of Hormuz. Iran’s parliament and foreign ministry are collaborating on this matter.
