New Delhi: (RightNow) Indian authorities have once again placed Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, leader of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, under house arrest in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq expressed his reaction on social media, stating that it is unfortunate to be detained during the holy month of Rabi’ al-Awwal.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq questioned the claims of normalcy by Indian authorities when he is prevented from visiting the Jamia Masjid.

He further added that if the situation is truly normal, why is there a need to stop him from going to the mosque?

It is noteworthy that Mirwaiz Umar Farooq frequently faces detention in occupied Kashmir, seen as an attempt to limit his activities.
