South Korea: (RightNow) Record-breaking heat in South Korea has severely impacted the agricultural sector. Farmers face extraordinary losses in their crops.

In the northeastern province of Gangwon, potato and cabbage crops have been destroyed. Potatoes spoiled before being harvested, and a large quantity of cabbage succumbed to the intense heat.

Local sources report that farmers in Yanggu County found potatoes in unusable condition when harvested. These potatoes were fine just a week ago.

Farmer Lee Sang-hyuk stated that he has never seen such a situation in his life. The damage is widespread, affecting not just one or two fields but many.

It is noteworthy that the increasing heat in South Korea exemplifies the growing impact of climate intensity on agricultural production.
