Record Company Registrations in Pakistan Boost Foreign Investment

Pakistan sees a surge in foreign investment with record company registrations in July, as reported by SECP.

Islamabad: (RightNow) A new record for company registrations was set in Pakistan during July. According to the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), 5,438 new companies were registered.

SECP reports that 5 international companies have also established offices in Pakistan. Companies from Malaysia, the UAE, and China have moved to Pakistan for business activities.

The report states that among the registered companies, 3,148 are private limited and 2,117 are single-member companies. Punjab registered the highest number with 51% of the companies.

SECP indicates that 1,008 new companies were registered in the information technology sector. There was also significant growth in trading, services, construction, and food and beverages.

It is noteworthy that the improvement in Pakistan’s business environment is attracting foreign companies to invest here. This is a positive development for the country’s economy.
