Karachi: (RightNow) Two ancient-style statues have been unearthed during the restoration of Karachi’s famous Lee Market. According to Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab, this discovery occurred in the Old City area of Karachi.

Murtaza Wahab stated that the historical significance and age of these statues will be assessed by archaeologists.

He mentioned that the items found during the restoration of Lee Market have been preserved, and documentation will be prepared.

This discovery highlights the importance of the city’s historical heritage, and further excavation is cautiously ongoing to preserve other potential items.

It is noteworthy that Lee Market is a historic site in Karachi, and efforts by KMC for its preservation are ongoing.
