Karachi: (RightNow) A powerful monsoon system has entered Pakistan. The Meteorological Department forecasts rain across the country, including Karachi, in the next 3 to 4 days.

Moist winds from the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea have entered the country. Karachi is expected to experience rain with strong winds and thunderstorms on July 25 and 26. Rain is also expected in Hyderabad, Thatta, Badin, and other areas.

Rain is forecasted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan as well. Islamabad, Kashmir, and various districts of Punjab are expected to receive heavy rain.

The Meteorological Department has warned of urban flooding and rising water levels in streams and rivers. Heavy rainfall is likely in Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot, and other regions.

It is noteworthy that according to PDMA Punjab, record rainfall has occurred in the province over the past 4 days, with the highest recorded in Lahore.
