Punjab government forms a 16-member board for Film City Authority, appoints Senior Minister as Chairperson.
Lahore: (RightNow) The Punjab government has announced the formation of a 16-member board for the Punjab Film City Authority, and the notification has been issued.
According to the notification, the Senior Minister is appointed as the Chairperson, while the Minister of Information and Culture is designated as a member. The Chairman of the Planning and Development Board is appointed as the Vice Chairperson.
The board includes MPA Amina Hassan, Sarah Ahmed, and secretaries from various departments. Personalities from the film and media industry are also part of the board.
Under Section 3 of the Punjab Film City Authority Act 2026, this board is formed for three years and takes effect immediately.
It is noteworthy that the purpose of the Film City Authority is to promote the film industry and provide facilities to filmmakers.
