Mumbai: (RightNow) Indian singer Shreya Ghoshal revealed she sang many songs without pay at the start of her career. She mentioned the existence of casting couch in the industry but did not experience it personally.

Shreya Ghoshal stated that before the social media era, women faced significant challenges. She shared that her parents always supported her, preventing any undue advances.

Discussing misconceptions about pay equality in the industry, she clarified it’s not a gender issue, as boys face it too.

The singer further mentioned that Arijit Singh does not receive hefty payments, which is a misconception. All good singers in the industry work without pay but demand high fees when justified.
