Mumbai: (RightNow). On the 25th anniversary of the film ‘Dil Chahta Hai’, the cast reminisced about old memories. Aamir Khan revealed that Akshaye Khanna slapped him 17 times in a scene.

According to Aamir Khan, the scene reflected friendship and reality, which audiences still appreciate. Despite the film’s popularity, the slapping scene drew significant attention.

Director Farhan Akhtar confirmed the slaps were real, and Aamir Khan had permitted them. He added that Aamir Khan’s cheek swelled, enhancing the scene’s realism.

The film, based on friendship, love, and relationships, has won a National Award. It was directed by Farhan Akhtar, marking his debut film.
