Riyadh: (RightNow) A missile attack ignited a fire on the Saudi oil tanker ‘Ancilia’ near the Saudi coast. The Saudi transport authority reported the incident occurred in the Red Sea.

The Saudi Press Agency stated that the ‘Ancilia’ was operated by a Saudi company. All crew members were safe, and there were no casualties during the attack.

The attacker remains unidentified, but the Houthi group from Yemen claimed responsibility for attacks on two Saudi oil tankers attempting to breach a naval blockade.

This attack followed Saudi Arabia’s bombing of Sanaa airport. According to the Houthis, the action aims to maintain the naval blockade.

It is noteworthy that the Houthis announced a naval blockade in response to Saudi bombings. If the tanker attacks are confirmed, it could be the first action against the blockade.
