Paris: (RightNow) France has approved a bill banning social media access for children under 15. This measure aims to protect young children from the negative effects of social media.

The ban will be implemented in two phases. The first phase, starting September 1, will prohibit the creation of new accounts, while the restriction on existing accounts will take effect in January 2027.

French President Macron has hailed this bill as a significant development and a necessary step for child protection.

It is noteworthy that countries like the UK and Australia have already imposed similar restrictions, and the UK is also banning energy drinks.
