Gold prices in Pakistan and globally have surged, with per tola gold now at 429,236 rupees, affecting the public.
Karachi: (RightNow) Gold prices have surged significantly in Pakistan and the global market today. According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Association, the price of 24-carat gold per tola has increased by 4700 rupees, reaching 429,236 rupees. The price of 10 grams of gold has risen by 4029 rupees to 368,000 rupees.
Silver prices have also increased. The price of silver per tola has risen by 219 rupees, reaching 6396 rupees. Meanwhile, in the international market, gold has become 47 dollars more expensive, now priced at 4068 dollars per ounce.
Government sources indicate that the rise in gold prices is due to increased demand in the global market. This is expected to lead to higher prices in the local market as well.
The increase in gold prices has caused a wave of concern among the public. This rise could economically impact the populace.
