Islamabad: (RightNow) The federal government has mandated a foreign citizenship declaration for civil servants. This measure aims to prevent civil servants from concealing foreign citizenship and documents.

The Establishment Division has issued mandatory declaration forms related to foreign citizenship and travel documents. These forms are released under the Foreign Citizenship Rules 2026 for civil servants.

Civil servants must submit the declaration forms on three occasions: at the start of employment, annually, and upon any change in foreign citizenship details. They must also disclose foreign passports and residence permits.

Details of dependents’ foreign citizenship are also mandatory. In cases of marriage to a foreign national, details and prior permission must be disclosed.

It is important to note that concealing information may result in job termination. False or misleading declarations will lead to legal and departmental action.
