Congress protests in Delhi demanding resignations of Modi and Education Minister over police violence on students.
New Delhi: (RightNow) The Indian opposition party Congress staged a protest outside the Prime Minister’s residence against police violence on students. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and other leaders participated in the demonstration.
Congress leaders are demanding the resignation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Rahul Gandhi condemned the police violence and accused RSS of taking over the education system.
The Bharatiya Janata Party held a sit-in for educational reforms in New Delhi, while police baton-charged the youth. Students made legitimate demands for a better future.
It is clear that the Delhi High Court has refused an urgent hearing on the plea against police violence on students. The court has decided to hear the case on Wednesday.
