Punjab increases quota for Balochistan students in Daanish Schools; Bangladeshi students included.
Lahore: (RightNow) Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has decided to increase the quota for Balochistan students in Daanish Schools. This decision was made during a meeting of the Daanish Schools Authority’s Board of Governors.
The meeting also decided to allocate a quota for Bangladeshi students. The Education Minister stated that Bangladeshi students will be able to study in Daanish Schools from next year.
Rana Sikandar Hayat mentioned that 1,100 students from other provinces are currently studying in the Daanish School project. This initiative aims to promote national harmony.
He further stated that a mechanism for a global scholarship for Daanish School students will be established. Additionally, there will be no compromise on the infrastructure of under-construction Daanish Schools.
It is noteworthy that the Daanish School project aims to provide quality education to children from underprivileged areas. These schools are part of the Punjab government’s special educational initiative.
