Lahore: (RightNow) Torrential rains have inundated various cities in Punjab, submerging low-lying areas and causing severe travel difficulties for residents.
In Lahore and other cities, the rain has broken the heatwave, but streets and alleys resemble ponds, increasing the challenges for citizens.
In Gujranwala, heavy rain has left water standing on GT Road, Sialkot Road, and Gondlanwala Road. In Daska, the rain has made the weather pleasant, with a significant drop in temperature recorded.
Continuous rain in Hafizabad and surrounding areas has disrupted daily life. The Meteorological Department forecasts more rain until July 24, advising the public to remain cautious.
It is noteworthy that according to PDMA, most rivers in the province have normal water flow. However, a low-level flood persists in the Indus and Chenab rivers.
