Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi criticizes the US for misjudging Iran’s power amid ongoing diplomatic consultations.
Tehran: (RightNow) Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi states that the US has misjudged Iran’s power by initiating conflict. He further asserts that Iran is not intimidated by American threats.
In an interview with Turkish media, Araghchi reveals that Israel attempted to cause destruction through brief attacks but failed. He mentions that these attacks were possible due to information leaks from within Iran.
Araghchi explains that the Israeli attacks resulted from a security breach that might still exist. He claims that Zionist agents were aware of Ayatollah Khamenei’s presence.
He adds that in the event of an attack on the Supreme Leader, a plan to close the Strait of Hormuz was already in place. Araghchi also mentions that the Supreme National Security Council approved an initial ceasefire.
It is noteworthy that long consultations regarding diplomacy between the US and Iran are ongoing. Talks about restarting negotiations are being considered.
