Ali Wisam sets two world records in basketball with 82 ft 10 in and 90 ft 6 in shots.
Cairo: (RightNow) Egyptian basketball player Ali Wisam has set two new world records in the Guinness World Records. He achieved these feats in a single day, breaking a record previously held by a Harlem Globetrotters player.
21-year-old Ali Wisam threw the longest hook shot from a distance of 82 feet 10 inches. Additionally, he set another record with a backward shot from 90 feet 6 inches.
According to Guinness World Records, Ali Wisam’s achievements mark a new chapter in basketball history. He stated that it was an incredible moment for him.
This accomplishment is significant as the previous record for the backward shot was set in 2024 by Harlem Globetrotters’ Corey ‘Thunder’ Law at a distance of 87 feet 8 inches.
It is noteworthy that Ali Wisam has previously represented the Egyptian national basketball team, and breaking the Harlem Globetrotters’ record was like a dream come true for him.
