Karachi: (RightNow) Former world boxing champion Amir Khan announces his ambition to nurture global boxing champions from Pakistan. He is working to establish boxing academies in Karachi and other cities across the country.

Declaring Lyari as a sports hub, he plans to set up an international standard boxing academy there. He believes Lyari has abundant talent and aims to host international boxing competitions in the area.

Amir Khan shared these thoughts while speaking to the media at the Karachi Press Club. Sindh government spokesperson Sardar Nadir Gabol and Lyari Town Municipal Commissioner Hammad ND Khan were also present.

It is noteworthy that British-Pakistani Amir Khan praised the enthusiasm of Lyari’s residents during the FIFA World Cup 2026 semi-final. He mentioned that Lyari has produced many prominent players in football and boxing.

Remember, the Amir Khan Boxing Academy in Islamabad offers world-class training. Amir Khan also intends to arrange international standard training for Pakistani coaches.
