Maryam Nawaz highlights the ‘Apna Rozgar Program’ for women’s economic empowerment at the OIC Conference.
Lahore: (Right Now News) Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has declared the ‘Apna Rozgar Program’ as her dream for women. Speaking at the OIC Women’s Conference in the federal capital, she stated that this program will provide economic independence to women.
During the conference, Maryam Nawaz described Pakistan as a peaceful and hospitable nation, emphasizing that ensuring women’s rights is crucial for the development of the entire nation. She also mentioned Islam’s clear directives on women’s rights.
The Punjab Chief Minister explained that the government is ensuring the provision of IT skills to align women with modern demands. She also highlighted the benefits of the ‘Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar’ scheme.
In her address, Maryam Nawaz paid tribute to Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, recognizing her as the first female Prime Minister of the Muslim world. She stated that empowering women is vital for the nation’s progress.
It is noteworthy that Maryam Nawaz had previously discussed launching various projects to create employment opportunities for women, aiming to economically stabilize them.
