The Ministry of IT, in partnership with Google, has launched the ‘AI Seekho 2026’ program to enhance AI education in Pakistan.
Islamabad: (Right Now News) The Ministry of IT and Telecom has accelerated efforts by declaring artificial intelligence a national priority sector. In collaboration with Google, the ‘AI Seekho 2026’ program has been launched to promote AI education and skills across the country.
According to the Ministry of IT and Telecom, the federal government has also issued directives to introduce AI curriculum at the school level to familiarize students with modern technology from an early stage.
The Ministry of IT stated that the scope of training programs will be extended to remote areas. The ministry reiterated its commitment to invest one billion dollars in the AI sector by 2030.
In this context, a proposal to offer fully funded AI scholarships to one thousand students is under consideration. A comprehensive program to upskill one million non-IT professionals is also in the planning phase.
It is noteworthy that these initiatives will play a crucial role in transitioning Pakistan towards a digital economy and enhancing its global competitiveness.
