Islamabad: (Right Now News) Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has announced a $3 billion financial aid package for Pakistan. This move underscores Saudi Arabia’s commitment to Pakistan’s economic stability.
Sources indicate that the Saudi Finance Minister was specially sent to Pakistan to assure the leadership that there is no need to worry about the foreign exchange gap.
A senior government source stated that Saudi Arabia will step in to fill the gap in Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves.
This development comes as a Gulf country is withdrawing $3 billion, prompting Saudi Arabia to pledge an equivalent amount to be deposited in the State Bank of Pakistan.
It is noteworthy that the State Bank of Pakistan already holds $5 billion in Saudi deposits, and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is expected to visit Saudi Arabia soon.
