Tehran: (Right Now News). Iran has implemented a new system for ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz. This system may remain even after the ongoing conflict with the US and Israel.

According to Iran, before the conflict, 135 ships passed daily through this route. However, after the conflict, the number decreased, with only 116 ships passing between March 1 and March 25.

The British newspaper Financial Times reports that some ships are paying Iran up to $2 million. These ships mostly belong to China, India, or Gulf countries, while some face Western sanctions.

Iranian parliament member Alaeddin Boroujerdi has acknowledged these payments. Despite this, American and European ship owners claim ignorance of these payments.

It should be noted that Iranian maritime boundaries are used for passing through the Strait of Hormuz. These measures are due to the tense situation in the Middle East.
