Strait of Hormuz: (RightNow) The US Central Command has rejected reports from Iranian media claiming that commercial ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz are affected by sea mines.

The US military stated that they have cleared the international maritime routes in the Strait of Hormuz of mines, ensuring these routes are safe. Thousands of commercial ships have passed safely through these routes.

On October 28, US Central Command released a statement on social media platform X, declaring the reports from Iranian-controlled media as false.

The Strait of Hormuz is a crucial route for the global transportation of crude oil and natural gas. Reports of mines or security threats here could impact global commercial shipping.

It is noteworthy that CENTCOM Commander Admiral Brad Cooper has previously stated that the maritime routes in the Strait of Hormuz are free of mines.
