Islamabad: (RightNow) Pakistan and Germany have agreed to enhance trade, investment, and business relations. The agreement was discussed in a meeting between Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan and German Ambassador Anna Lepel.

Jam Kamal Khan invited German companies to invest in Pakistan. The German Ambassador praised Pakistan’s reform progress under the GSP Plus (Generalized System of Preferences Plus). Rana Ehsan Afzal discussed the geographical indication of Pakistani Basmati rice.

The German Ambassador highlighted investment opportunities in agriculture, food processing, technology, and manufacturing sectors in Pakistan. German companies have been invited to participate in the FoodAg 2026 event in Karachi this November.

The German Ambassador mentioned preparations for a livestock exhibition in Germany for Pakistani business delegations. He also invited Jam Kamal Khan to attend the Asia-Pacific Conference of German Business in Seoul.

It is noteworthy that under the GSP Plus, Pakistan enjoys enhanced access to European markets for its products. This progress is crucial for Pakistan’s economic development.
