ECC approves 30 bulletproof vehicles for SCO summit with a 6.6 billion rupee grant.
Islamabad: (RightNow) The ECC meeting, chaired by Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, focused on financial and economic matters.
The meeting approved arrangements for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit, including the purchase of 30 bulletproof vehicles.
The Ministry of Finance reported that a technical supplementary grant of 6.6 billion rupees was approved. The initial amount was 12.6 billion rupees, but only 6.6 billion rupees were sanctioned.
The ECC instructed a comprehensive analysis of the need for additional vehicles. If the need persists, the matter will be reconsidered.
It is noteworthy that the ECC also reviewed other financial matters, including the Danish Schools Fund and the closure of utility stores.
