Tehran: (RightNow) A US airstrike targeted a wedding in Kohestak, southern Iran, killing 5 people. The incident occurred on September 1, when US attacks were aimed at Iran’s air defense centers.

Experts have stated that available images indicate the attack was carried out using US-made weapons. A former US military bomb disposal expert also confirmed that the damage is consistent with a US bomb.

The US Central Command confirmed the attack targeted an Iranian communication tower, and US officials are investigating the incident. They stated that civilians are never intentionally targeted.

It is important to note that US attacks in Iran have previously resulted in civilian casualties. Earlier in February, a school in Minab was destroyed, killing 175 children and teachers.
