Energy Minister Owais Leghari resolves 11,695 net metering applications, initiating direct consumer contact.
Islamabad: (RightNow) Energy Minister Owais Leghari has resolved 11,695 net metering applications following his directives. Direct contact with the consumers of resolved cases has commenced.
During the transition from net metering to net billing, 16,654 applications were pending. PITC is reaching out to 11,695 consumers via messages, WhatsApp, and other digital means.
Consumers are advised not to pay any fees to individuals for quick processing of net metering applications. The government is addressing consumer issues through direct contact.
Verification and validation of 4,959 applications are ongoing to protect legitimate consumer rights and prevent illegal connections.
It is noteworthy that the government supports renewable energy promotion and considers solarization a key part of the country’s energy future. Owais Leghari has instructed the swift review of the remaining applications.
