Karachi: (RightNow) Renowned actress Sadya Imam has revealed that she was betrayed by close colleagues in the showbiz industry. She stated on a private TV morning show that during her career, male colleagues ignored her.

Sadya Imam explained that when she entered the showbiz industry, there were fewer female actresses, and most of her colleagues were male. She mentioned that on some occasions, colleagues caused harm behind her back.

The actress shared that her father advised her that being alone is better than having fake friends. She said she learned from these experiences over time, and the difficult period passed.

Sadya Imam revealed that some male colleagues suggested she should not be cast because she was not a party girl and did not mingle much with them.

It is noteworthy that Sadya Imam mentioned that during overseas shootings, some colleagues had issues with her behavior. She was sometimes removed from projects or given secondary roles.
