Gamescom 2026 kicks off in Cologne with 1600 exhibitors from 67 countries. Chinese companies debut games internationally.
Cologne: (RightNow) The world’s largest computer and video games trade fair, Gamescom 2026, has commenced in Cologne, Germany. Over 1600 exhibitors from 67 countries and regions are participating.
The five-day Gamescom opened its doors on the first day exclusively for industry professionals and media representatives. More than 70% of the exhibitors are international companies.
The fair is being held at the Cologne Exhibition Center, covering an area of 233,000 square meters. It features new games, cosplay shows, board and card games, among various activities.
Felix Falk, Director of the German Games Industry Association, stated that all exhibition halls are fully booked for exhibitors this year. The number of exhibitors has reached a record high.
It is noteworthy that 60 Chinese companies are participating in Gamescom 2026, setting a new record. Chinese companies are showcasing their games abroad for the first time.
