Moscow: (RightNow) A new study reveals that the habit of consuming excessive sugar affects human decision-making. The research indicates that consuming sweet items like ice cream, chocolate, and cake influences people’s decision-making styles.

According to the study by Russia’s HSE University, individuals who consume more sugar often make impulsive decisions. The research involved 149 young participants whose preferences for sweets were analyzed.

The study found that sweet lovers prefer immediate rewards and overlook long-term consequences, indicating an interest in taking risks.

The research suggests that the brains of sweet lovers are affected in areas that analyze uncertainty. Their anxious behaviors point towards this change.

It is noteworthy that this study was published in the journal Frontiers in Psychology and links these foods to chronic diseases like heart disease.
