Islamabad: (RightNow) The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has released a report on the damages caused by monsoon rains across Pakistan. Various regions continue to suffer human and financial losses due to the ongoing rains. In the last 24 hours, 11 people have died and 25 have been injured.

According to the report, since June 26, a total of 97 people have lost their lives. The deceased include 43 children, 33 men, and 21 women. The number of injured individuals is reported to be 297.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 52 people have died, 29 in Punjab, 7 in Azad Kashmir, 6 in Balochistan, 2 in Sindh, and 1 in Gilgit-Baltistan. Punjab has reported 203 injuries, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 75, and Balochistan 15.

Monsoon rains have damaged 447 houses. Additionally, 269 livestock have perished due to the flooding. Damage has also been reported to 6 bridges and 9 kilometers of roads.

It is noteworthy that the monsoon rains have been ongoing since June 26, affecting various parts of the country. The NDMA continues to monitor the situation and carry out relief operations.
