Muzaffarabad: (RightNow) The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Election Commission has issued a code of conduct for elections, prohibiting the use of government resources. The commission has made it clear that violations of the code will not be tolerated, and strict measures are being taken to ensure transparent elections.

The Election Commission stated that federal and provincial ministers can participate in the election campaign, but they cannot use government protocol and resources. The use of government machinery for electoral purposes will be considered a violation of the code of conduct.

Announcing new development schemes or financial packages during the election campaign is also prohibited. Announcements of new public interest projects will fall under violations of the code of conduct.

The Election Commission has instructed ministers, candidates, and political parties to adhere to the code of conduct. In case of violations, action will be taken according to the law.

It is noteworthy that the Election Commission has previously issued strict guidelines for transparent elections in Azad Kashmir to maintain public trust.
