Lahore: (RightNow) The Judicial Commission has approved the appointment of 10 new judges for the Lahore High Court. This decision was made in a meeting chaired by the Chief Justice of Pakistan.

The meeting approved the appointment of Syed Farhad Ali Shah, Amjad Pervaiz, Asad Bajwa, and Ghulam Sarwar Nahung among others as additional judges. Their inclusion is expected to improve the judiciary’s performance.

The meeting also discussed the confirmation of one judge and the appointment of 10 additional judges for the Lahore High Court. A total of 24 candidates applied for the 10 positions.

The issue of appointing judges in the Balochistan High Court is also under consideration by the Judicial Commission. The meeting is reviewing the names of 20 more candidates.

It is important to note that this step by the Judicial Commission aims to enhance the judiciary and expedite the delivery of justice, which is crucial for strengthening the legal system.
