Islamabad: (RightNow). The National Judicial Reform Framework receives approval in a meeting chaired by the Chief Justice. The meeting at the Supreme Court included Chief Justices of High Courts and the Federal Minister of Law and Justice.

The framework aligns with the World Justice Project Rule of Law Index, aiming to promote judicial reforms. It seeks to strengthen access to justice, transparency, and predictability.

The meeting revealed that High Courts will review their reform progress quarterly under this framework. The Law and Justice Commission of Pakistan and the Ministry of Law and Justice will establish a special cell for implementation.

It is noteworthy that this initiative aims to improve Pakistan’s performance in the global Rule of Law Index. The framework will align the judicial system with evidence-based reforms and international standards.

A special technology platform will monitor reform progress. The proposed commission’s formation and rules will be completed soon, enhancing access to justice.
