Shanghai: (RightNow) Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres in Shanghai. The meeting took place during the World Artificial Intelligence Conference.

According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, the discussion included recent meetings via UN and telephonic communications. They also talked about the latest regional and global situations.

Ishaq Dar emphasized the importance of multilateral cooperation to tackle global challenges, promote peace, sustainable development, and inclusive progress. He stated that global cooperation is a crucial need of the time.

The meeting occurred as Ishaq Dar also met Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi during the World Artificial Intelligence Conference in Shanghai. Several key officials were present at the meeting.

It is noteworthy that both leaders reviewed Pakistan-China bilateral relations and stressed the importance of advancing high-quality development under CPEC 2.0.
