Peshawar: (RightNow) The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government decides to issue an additional grant for financially weak Tehsil Municipal Administrations (TMAs). The government aims to alleviate the financial difficulties of these institutions.

The Local Council Board has sent a letter to all Tehsil Municipal Officers, instructing them to use the additional grant solely for salaries and pensions. This aims to improve the financial condition of employees.

The letter clearly states that the grant cannot be used for any other purpose. Violations will result in action against the responsible officers.

The Local Council Board plans to audit all TMA accounts on November 10 to verify the proper use of the grant.

It is noteworthy that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has previously taken steps to assist financially troubled institutions. This initiative aims to provide a better financial foundation for these bodies.
