Tehran: (RightNow) Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi states there is no military solution to the Yemen crisis. Iran believes Yemen’s future should be decided by its people.

Speaking to an Arab newspaper, Abbas Araghchi emphasizes the necessity of negotiations and a comprehensive political process for resolving the Yemen issue. The upcoming meeting with Gulf countries on Monday will not address the Yemen crisis.

The Iranian Foreign Minister reveals that no immediate decision has been made to open the Strait of Hormuz. Discussions on establishing a new maritime route will occur in a scheduled meeting in Oman.

He further mentions that Iran will provide Gulf countries with details of the agreement made with Oman. The agreement with Oman does not imply the immediate opening of the Strait of Hormuz.

It is noteworthy that the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz requires the implementation of a memorandum of understanding signed in Islamabad. This agreement is a crucial link in cooperation between Iran and Gulf countries.
