Lahore: (RightNow) Internationally renowned Pakistani wrestler Inam Butt has tested positive for doping. This test was conducted during the Asian Beach Games held in China in April.

Following the positive test results, WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency) may impose a ban on him. If WADA is not satisfied with his explanation, he could face a suspension.

Sources close to the two-time gold medalist claim that Inam Butt took medication for eye treatment before the games. These medications are not related to performance enhancement.

According to sources, Inam Butt informed WADA about the list of medications, medical scans, and doctor’s prescriptions. WADA had permitted the use of these medications for one year.

It is important to note that discussions between Inam Butt and World Anti-Doping officials regarding the doping issue are ongoing.
