Karachi: (RightNow) The reason behind Sarfaraz Ahmed’s sudden removal as head coach of the national Test team has been revealed. Renowned journalist Abdul Majid Bhatti disclosed that Sarfaraz was removed due to disagreements over player selection for the Lord’s Test.

According to Abdul Majid Bhatti, Aqib Javed sent a message to Sarfaraz Ahmed suggesting that Ubaid Shah or Aamir Jamal should play, and Mohammad Rizwan should be dropped in favor of debuting Ghazi Ghori. Sarfaraz discussed this message with captain Babar Azam.

Babar Azam firmly responded that he would field his experienced players. This led to discontent, and Sarfaraz Ahmed was removed from coaching after the Lord’s Test.
