A Chinese study finds men age between 35-45 and women between 55-65, with significant metabolic changes.
Beijing: (RightNow) A medical study in China reveals that aging begins at different ages for men and women. Men experience significant metabolic changes between 35 and 45 years, while for women, this process occurs between 55 and 65 years.
The study analyzed data from over 104,000 individuals aged 18 to 98. Researchers examined 172 metrics such as weight, cholesterol, and blood sugar to develop ‘aging clocks’.
For men, aging starts between 35 and 45 years, marked by increases in body weight, blood lipids, and cholesterol. In women, these changes occur between 55 and 65 years, with significant hormonal shifts.
The research indicates that substances in our blood, like glucose, lipids, and uric acid, increase with age, accelerating biological aging.
It is noteworthy that maintaining a balanced diet and controlling blood glucose can reduce metabolic stress, slowing the aging process, which is crucial for health preservation.
