Karachi: (RightNow) Veteran Pakistani actress Bushra Ansari explains why she retains the ‘Ansari’ surname post-divorce. She states she doesn’t want to confuse her fans.

In a recent interview, Bushra Ansari shared that many advise her to drop ‘Ansari,’ but she wants to maintain fan recognition. Her official documents list her as Bushra Bashir.

The actress clarified that both her daughters also use the Ansari surname, and her ex-husband has no objections. She believes others need not be concerned.

Bushra Ansari added that a name is not just an identity but a recognition in people’s minds. She doesn’t want to surprise people by changing it suddenly.

It is noteworthy that Bushra Ansari’s first marriage was to director Iqbal Ansari, and they have two daughters. Their marital life lasted nearly 36 years.
