Washington: (RightNow) The Pentagon has implemented a mandatory system to test testosterone levels in US military personnel. This system applies to active duty and reserve forces aged 30 and above.

Testosterone tests measure hormone levels in the body, predominantly found in men. Blood samples will be taken in the morning for accurate hormone measurement.

According to the Pentagon, this policy is effective immediately. Its goal is to identify and treat hormone-related issues in soldiers promptly to enhance overall performance.

It is noteworthy that the US Secretary of Defense mandated this test last month. However, medical experts have expressed concerns due to a lack of scientific evidence.

The US Food and Drug Administration plans to hold a meeting in mid-September to further discuss the medical use of testosterone.
