Inflation Rate in Pakistan Reaches 9.04% Amid Rising Prices

Islamabad: (RightNow) The weekly inflation in the country continues to rise. According to the Bureau of Statistics, the annual inflation rate has reached 9.04%.

In the past week, inflation increased by 0.5%. Prices of 20 essential items, including chickpeas, wheat flour, eggs, and tea, have risen.

LPG prices increased by 3.46%, electricity by 2.04%, diesel by 2.44%, and petrol by 1.7%.

On an annual basis, onion prices rose by 126%, flour by 45%, and tomatoes by 37%. During the review period, 11 items became cheaper.

It is noteworthy that inflation is affecting the lives of ordinary people. The government has announced measures to stabilize prices.
