Mumbai: (RightNow) Maharashtra police have arrested actor Ruhullah Mehdi on charges of drug smuggling. He was caught with 28 grams of drugs.

Police received a tip-off that Ruhullah Mehdi, residing in Mumbai’s Goregaon area, was coming to Dahisar Check Naka for drug smuggling. They set a trap and arrested him on the spot.

Actor Ruhullah has been presented in court and remanded to police custody for 5 days. Police are investigating the drug network to determine the source of the drugs.

Ruhullah Mehdi has worked with Shahid Kapoor in the film ‘Deva’ and other web series. His arrest has caused a stir in the film industry.

It is noteworthy that this is not the first time a prominent figure has been named in a drug smuggling case. In the past, several celebrities have been arrested on drug charges.
